HZN’s activities for SMEs

SMEs may gain numerous benefits from using standards, such as:

  • increased competitiveness
  • support to dissemination of new knowledge and innovations
  • improved quality of products and services
  • ensuring interoperability
  • removing barriers to trade
  • reduced costs
  • application of best practices
  • ensuring compliance with legal and regulatory requirements

The Croatian Standards Institute (HZN) organizes numerous activities aimed at facilitating access to standards and improving SME involvement in standardization activities, such as publications and workshops.
In order to facilitate access to standards, the Standards Library has been established at HZN as an information, documentation and communication point which provides all users with a free insight into standards and other publications in its holdings.

The Standards Library staff also provides free advice on standards by phone (01 6106 051, 01 6106 059) or e-mail (normoteka@hzn.hr).

If you wish to search data on Croatian standards from your own computer, please use the online catalogue of Croatian standards which contains data on more than 30,000 Croatian standards (HRN). They may be searched on the basis of several criteria, e.g.:
