Accessibility statement

The Croatian Standards Institute is committed to making its website accessible, in accordance with the Act on the accessibility of the websites and mobile applications of public sector bodies of the Republic of Croatia (Official Gazette No. 17/19; hereinafter: the Act) transposing Directive (EU) 2016/2102 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 26 October 2016 on the accessibility of the websites and mobile applications of public sector bodies (OJ L 327, 2.12.2016).

This Accessibility statement applies to the website of the Croatian Standards Institute at https://www.hzn.hr/.

Degree of compliance

The website https://www.hzn.hr/ is partially compliant with the Act due to the exemptions listed below. Redesign of the web pages and an accessibility plugin have enhanced their compliance with Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1.

Inaccessible content

The content listed below is non-accessible for the following reasons:
  • some PDF files contained in the posts have not been created by export from the original file with accessibility options selected but by scanning printed documents, i.e. they have not been adequately prepared for screen readers;
  • a large proportion of images and files do not have a suitable textual description (Alt text);
  • links are not underlined and some of them do not contain a suitable textual description;
  • a part of documents posted are copyrighted by third parties and are not available in machine-readable format.
The Croatian Standards Institute is working on correcting the observed non-compliances.
 
Preparation of this accessibility statement

This statement was prepared on 23 September 2020 based on the model accessibility statement from the Commission Implementing Decision (EU) 2018/1523 prepared in line with Directive (EU) 2016/2102 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 26 October 2016 on the accessibility of the websites and mobile applications of public sector bodies.
The assessment of compliance with accessibility requirements is the result of a self-assessment conducted by the Croatian Standards Institute based on automated accessibility evaluation using WAVE Web Accessibility Evaluation Tool.
The Croatian Standards Institute will regularly review this statement at the same time working on correcting the causes of non-accessibility of certain contents.
The statement was last reviewed on 26 June 2024.
