Reporting of irregularities
CONFIDENTIAL PERSON UNDER THE ACT ON THE PROTECTION OF PERSONS REPORTING IRREGULARITIES (‘FACILITATOR’)
The Act on the Protection of Persons Reporting Irregularities (‘Whistleblower Protection Act’) regulates the procedure for reporting irregularities, rights of reporting persons, obligations of public authorities and legal and natural persons regarding the reporting of irregularities and other issues relevant for the reporting of irregularities and the protection of reporting persons.
The procedure for internal reporting of irregularities in the Croatian Standards Institute is regulated by the Ordinance on the procedure for reporting irregularities and appointing confidential persons and their deputies.
“Irregularity” means any violation of laws and other regulations or mismanagement of public goods, public funds, resources of the Croatian Standards Institute and EU funds that threatens public interests and is related to carrying out activities in the Croatian Standards Institute.
“Carrying out activities” includes employment with the Croatian Standards Institute, work without the employment with the Croatian Standards Institute, volunteering, performing duties, work under a temporary service contract, student work, participation in recruitment procedures as a candidate and any other participation in the activities of the Croatian Standards Institute.
Pursuant to the Act on the Protection of Persons Reporting Irregularities and the Ordinance on the procedure for reporting irregularities and appointing confidential persons and their deputies, you can report an irregularity to the confidential person:
„Ne otvaraj - za povjerljivu osobu“

A report of an irregularity is not considered a breach of confidentiality.
The report shall contain:
- indication of the Croatian Standards Institute as the employer in which the reporting person carries out activities
- name of the organizational unit of the Croatian Standards Institute if the reporting person works in the Croatian Standards Institute
- details of the reporting person (first name, last name and OIB (PIN))
- details of the person and/or persons concerned
- description of the irregularity
- date of submission of the report.

- in writing (in a sealed envelope) to the address below:

- by e-mail at povjerljiva.osoba@hzn.hr or
- using the Irregularities Reporting Form.
